I spend a lot of time photographing and writing descriptions for all my items, so please bear this in mind if you are unsure if you will pay. All items must be paid for within 7 days of sale, otherwise your item will be relisted and I will initiate the unpaid item procedure with ebay. If you receive unsolicited emails from ebay members making false claims, or unknown emails purporting to sell the same item, please forward these to me and I will have them investigated by ebay Trust & Safety team. I am not here to swindle or dupe anyone, otherwise my life as a seller would be very short indeed. I have been selling on ebay for over a year and pride myself on my salesmanship and feedback. I will always give my best effort to you as a customer and welcome honest feedback. Please remember, that I have a full time job outside of this one and when my family needs me, you might have to wait a small amount of time to get a response. If you want to ask for advice or need an opinion, that is and will always be free, no matter what the subject. I'm here to have fun and expand both of our collections and both of our experiences. The best customers are the ones who come back, why not become one yourself? ************************************************************ Feedback: I always leave positive feedback once the buyer has left the same and I am confident that the transaction has been positive and enjoyable for both buyer and seller. If, for some reason, you are unhappy or have concerns, please email me first before leaving negative feedback. Trust me, it's in both of our interests to work out the differences before we put on the boxing gloves. I have a pretty good feedback record, so if in doubt, just ask. ************************************************************ An Important message to the window shoppers: If you are viewing my listings and wish to comment on any aspect of the description, please do so, but keep it clean, positive and constructive. If you have a grudge against anything I have stated, make sure you back up your claim with a peer reviewed online source to back up your claim, otherwise I'll direct you to re-read this section you naughty little boys! Whilst I do love spending hours learning and talking to collectors who have more information than me about a particular object, if you are a johnny come lately know it all, whose had 2 pints of mid strength and had a row with the wife/cat/dog/postman/religious entity/snails in the garden eating your cabbages, don't waste your time. I find that global warming could easily be reduced by you saving the power used to email me. Instead, you could easily take your frustration out on watching old episodes of Fawlty Towers/Cheers/Germain Greer exercise videos.

You are bidding on a Distinguished Flying Cross Medal with matching Ribbon Bar and Lapel Pin. Both clasps work fine. The lapel pin button back does not come off but is attached like a cuff link. No person ever wore these pieces. They were found wrapped in plastic among several other similar pieces in my Uncle's desk. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Distinguished Flying Cross is a medal awarded to any officer or enlisted member of the United States armed forces who distinguishes himself or herself in support of operations by "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight, subsequent to November 11, 1918." The decoration may also be given for an act performed prior to that date when the individual has been recommended for, but has not received the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, Air Force Cross or Distinguished Service Medal. The Distinguished Flying Cross was designed by Elizabeth Will and Arthur E. DuBois. It is a bronze cross pattee, with rays between the arms of the cross. On the obverse is a propeller of four blades, with one blade in each arm of the cross and in the re-entrant angles of the cross are rays which form a square. The cross is suspended by a rectangle-shaped bar and centered on this is a plain shield. The reverse is blank and suitable for engraving the recipient's name and rank. The ribbon has a narrow red center stripe, flanked on either side by a thin white stripe, a wide stripe of dark blue, a narrow white stripe and narrow dark blue at the edge of the ribbon.
